Kapil Dev: Team India continues to perform well in the ICC T20 World Cup. The Indian team has won both its opening matches. In the first match, Team India won Pakistan by 4 wickets. In the second match, they defeated Netherlands by 56 runs. With the victory in the first two matches, the Indian team is at the first position in Group 2 with 4 points.
Now Team India’s next match will be against South Africa on 30 October. If the Indian team wins this match, then it will almost qualify for the semi-finals. However, despite the impressive performance of the Indian team, former World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev is not so impressed. Seeing the performance of Team India, Kapil Dev has given a big warning.
Kapil Dev gave this statement about the Indian team –1983 Cricket World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev (Kapil Dev) has expressed his concern even after such a great performance of the Indian team. He has said that there is still some shortage in the bowling of the team. Talking to ABP News, Kapil Dev said, “The bowling has become better, I think Team India could have scored more runs in batting. But by scoring more than 100 runs in the last 10 overs, the batsmen leveled the account. See the grounds are very big in Australia and hence the spinners are also getting a little advantage. But I still believe that we lack bowling.
Talking further, Kapil Dev said, “Against a team like Netherlands, you should have the right plan where to bowl in terms of line and length. Especially in such matches, there should be no no ball or wide ball. Because you are practicing and need to win the match. So all I would say is that the bowling was good but still there were some flaws which need to be improved.
