The life of unsung heroes has become a superhit formula of cinema for the past few years. If the matter is about a spy thriller then what to say. This mysterious world has been shown in many films and countless web series including Baby, Tiger, Raazi, Romeo Akbar Water, Bellbottom. The sequel to this is Siddharth Malhotra’s film Mission Majnu. Due to the abundance of films and web series on this subject, it was a big challenge before the makers of this film to come up with a story which is full of mystery and adventure. The story of the film may seem interesting to listen to in one line, but both the story and the screenplay have remained very weak on the screen. Because of which the mission fails in the mission of Majnu Entertainment.
Fictional story based on real events
Talking about the story of the film, the story of the film is inspired by true events. If it is a spy thriller film, then India and Pakistan will be the pivot of the story. are also here. The period of the film is in and around 1974. Indian spy Amandeep alias Tariq is an Indian spy in Pakistan. There he does tailor work to show off to everyone, but his real job is to inform India about the suspicious activities of Pakistan. Especially to expose Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program. In which two more undercover agents Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra are also with him. Hero is an undercover agent, so what happened.. If love has to happen, it is in Pakistan too. He is in love with Nasreen (Rashmika Mandanna), has also married her and is about to become a father soon. The twist of the story is not this, but it is that the government has been overthrown in India. Indira Gandhi is no longer the Prime Minister. The new government wants to abolish the RAW wing, but RAW chief Kav (Parmeet Sethi) wants to carry out this work on his own responsibility. Will these people be able to thwart Pakistan’s plan to make an atomic bomb? This is the story of the film.
Mystery and thrill have disappeared from the story and screenplay
The story of the film may sound interesting, but the film takes a long time to establish the characters on the screen and to come to the real issue. The real thrill of such films is the thriller related to its story. There is a tremendous lack of it while watching the film. When Tariq’s accomplice is caught, then at that time the hairs do not stand. The Israeli angle has not been shown properly in the film. It seems half-baked. There was a need to work on the action as well. Yes, the climax of the film has definitely become good.
mistake here too
The decade of the 70s has not come to the fore in the way the story required. Makers had to show the Pakistan of that decade. He has not been able to appear on the screen. The film Sholay of that decade and the dialogues of Dharmendra and Hema Malini have also been used. Apart from this, original clippings of Indira Gandhi and Zia ul Haq have also been added in the film. Filled with the spirit of patriotism, neither the dialogues nor the songs of this film have become memorable. Janab, Miyan and Bhaijaan have been added to every other sentence to represent the Pakistani language.
Nice try by the artists
Talking about acting, the weak story has not allowed Siddharth Malhotra’s character to become effective. He has worked hard in his character, but he has also missed many places. Rashmika Mandanna looks beautiful though she had nothing special to do in the film. Amidst all this, Kumud Mishra has managed to leave his mark. Sharib Hashmi also lives up to the expectations. It is interesting to see Parmeet Sethi in films after a long time. The rest of the characters have also tried well to do justice to their roles.
