Desk : Bihar’s famous folk singer Maithili Thakur has been made brand ambassador by the Industries Department for the promotion of Khadi, handicrafts and handloom products of Bihar. Bihar Industries Minister Sameer Kumar Mahaseth and Principal Secretary Industries Department Sandeep Pondrik have also congratulated famous folk singer Maithili Thakur for becoming the brand ambassador of Bihar Khadi Handloom and Handicrafts.
In a simple function organized in the premises of the Khadi Village Industries Board of Bihar State, Chief Executive Officer of the Board Dilip Kumar and Director of Upendra Maharathi Craft Research Institute Vivek Ranjan also handed over a form to Maithili Thakur to be made the brand ambassador.
On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Bihar State Khadi Village Industries Board Dilip Kumar told that many new schemes are also being prepared by the Bihar State Khadi Village Industries Board to connect Khadi with the youth.
Maithili Thakur will make the youth of the state aware
With the appointment of Maithili Thakur as the brand ambassador of Khadi handicrafts and handloom products of Bihar, the trend of the youth of the state will increase in relation to Bihar’s textiles and Bihar’s handicrafts. This will not only promote the culture of the state, but also lakhs of weavers, artisans and spinners working in the field of Khadi handicrafts and handlooms will also get benefit.
Director of Handloom and Silk Directorate Vivek Ranjan told that marketing has a very important role in the development of handloom and handicrafts. With the appointment of Maithili Thakur as the brand ambassador, the trend of the youth will also increase towards the products of Bihar. Maithili Thakur as brand ambassador will also regularly visit Khadi Mall Bihar Emporium Handloom Haat and Upendra Maharathi Craft Research Institute
